Part 1 — Girona (4 Nights / 3 Gravel Rides)

Base yourself in the heart of Girona’s old town or a countryside 4-star hotel surrounded by rolling farmland. Rocacorba Atelier provides bike setup, local briefings and route tailoring based on the group’s fitness and preferences.

Day 1 — Arrival in Girona

  • Short optional warm-up spin along the Devesa Park gravel loops and Ter River tracks.

Day 2 — Gravel Ride: Les Gavarres Ridge & Medieval Villages (55–75 km)

A quiet, endlessly winding gravel route into the Gavarres massif—classic Girona countryside.

Highlights

  • Rolling climbs on fire roads with sweeping Costa Brava views

  • Coffee stop in the village of Monells

  • Optional loop to Els Àngels Sanctuary

  • Long, smooth descents on forgotten gravel lines

  • Post-ride lunch at a farmhouse restaurant

Afternoon free to explore Girona’s old town, cathedral steps, and the Call.

Day 3 — Gravel Ride: Hidden Empordà Coast & Rice Fields (60–90 km)

A route almost entirely off the Strava heatmap, taking quiet farm tracks all the way to the coast.

Highlights

  • Riding past vineyards, peach orchards, and rice paddies

  • Gravel tracks parallel to the Ter river

  • Coffee in Torroella de Montgrí

  • Out-and-back loop to the dunes near Gola de Ter

  • Optional beach lunch before returning inland

Evening: dinner reservation at a modern Catalan restaurant in Girona (or included group dinner).

Day 4 — Signature Girona Day: Rocacorba Gravel Loop (50–70 km)

A nod to Rocacorba Atelier’s namesake—this is the gravel approach to the famed mountain.

  • Wild gravel through Banyoles forests

  • Lake Banyoles shoreline café stop

  • Climb towards Rocacorba via quiet backroads and gravel connectors

  • Descent back into Girona on sweeping mixed-surface terrain

Part 2 — Priorat (3 Nights / 3 Road Rides)

Transfer south (approx 2h15) into Catalonia’s dramatic wine country. The Priorat is a paradise of terraced vineyards, quiet switchbacks, and fortified hilltop villages.

Accommodation is in a rural 4-star wine-hotel surrounded by vines.

Day 5 — Arrival in Priorat + Warm-Up Road Ride (35–55 km)

  • Afternoon warm-up ride through the villages of Gratallops, Porrera and Torroja del Priorat.

Day 6 — Priorat Classic: Siurana Climb & Embassament Loop (70–100 km)

One of the most beautiful road loops in Catalonia.

  • Coffee stop overlooking the reservoir

  • Fast, smooth descent into the heart of the DOP region

Day 7 — Montsant Ring: The Quiet Roads of the High Priorat (60–90 km)

A day of exceptional scenery and silky asphalt.
