4 Nights Bourg-d’Oisans → 4 Nights Luberon


DAY 1 — Arrival in Bourg-d’Oisans

  • Private transfer from Grenoble / Lyon / Geneva.

  • Check-in, Canyon rental bike setup + fit, small leg-opener spin.

  • Welcome briefing with Rocacorba Atelier guides.

  • Dinner at hotel (4★ alpine lodge).


DAY 2 — Ride 1: Alpe d’Huez (The Classic 21 Bends)

Focus: Iconic Tour de France summit finish.

  • Roll out from Bourg and tackle the full Alpe d’Huez climb.

  • Optional extension: Villard-Reculas loop or balcony road across to Huez.

  • Distance: 60–90 km depending on the chosen warm-up loops.

  • Support: Nutrition feed, mechanical support, van on the mountain.

Evening: recovery dinner, optional short massage.


DAY 3 — Ride 2: Galibier (via Lautaret)

Focus: High-mountain col day.

  • Climb Col du Lautaret, continue to Col du Galibier.

  • Choice of two options depending on group strength:
    A. Full Galibier summit (big day)
    B. Lautaret out & back (moderate altitude day)

Distance: 80–120 km.


DAY 4 — Ride 3: Croix de Fer or Izoard (Guide’s choice)

Focus: Third major Tour climb, chosen based on weather + group freshness.

  • Option A: Croix de Fer (beautiful long alpine ascent, lakes & switchbacks)

  • Option B: Col d’Izoard & Casse Déserte (Tour legend, lunar landscape)

Distance: 70–110 km.

Evening: packing bikes + briefing for next day’s transfer.


DAY 5 — Transfer to Luberon (Arrival + Easy Spin)

  • Morning: private transfer from Alps → Luberon (Gordes / Lourmarin area).

  • Check-in to hilltop hotel or vineyard stay (4★).

  • Short afternoon spin on quiet Provençal lanes.

Dinner: local Provençal tasting menu.


DAY 6 — Ride 4: Luberon Backroads & Ochre Villages

Focus: Small roads, vineyards, ochre landscapes.

  • Route through Roussillon, Gargas, and Rustrel (Ochre Route).

  • Café stop in a perched village.

  • Optional winery picnic lunch.

Distance: 50–90 km, rolling terrain.


DAY 7 — Ride 5: Hilltop Villages (Gordes, Bonnieux, Ménerbes)

Focus: The most beautiful villages in France, minimal traffic.

  • Quiet backroads linking medieval villages.

  • Option for light gravel sector for those who want it.

  • Long lunch in Bonnieux or Ménerbes.

Distance: 60–100 km.

Evening: early dinner + Ventoux briefing.


DAY 8 — Ride 6: Mont Ventoux (Finale)

Focus: Summit day — choose the classic Bédoin route.

  • Early transfer to Bédoin.

  • Summit effort with full van support + summit photography.

  • Descent to Sault or Bédoin depending on wind.

Distance: 40–80 km depending on optional extensions.

Celebration dinner that evening.


DAY 9 — Departure

  • Optional sunrise coffee spin.

  • Transfers to Avignon / Marseille / Aix-en-Provence / airport.
